For a downtown high-rise, 3 to 4 weeks is safest, because the strata elevator slot is usually the bottleneck, not our crew. Month-end and the July to August window fill first. For a smaller walk-up move we can often work with less notice.

Most Vancouver strata buildings require your mover to file a certificate of insurance before moving day, naming the strata as additional insured. We file whatever coverage the building asks for. We provide it, usually 48 to 72 hours ahead as buildings require. Without it, the concierge can turn the crew away.

You book the elevator slot with your building manager, and we plan the move around it. Most towers require the service elevator, in 4-hour blocks, weekdays 9 to 5, with Saturdays often morning-only. Tell us your slot and we build the day around it.

On streets with no loading area, common in Kitsilano and parts of the West Side, we reserve curb space through a City of Vancouver street-occupancy permit. It needs 7 to 10 business days, so tell us early and we handle it.

Usually not. Vancouver parkades often clear as low as 2.0 metres, and a moving truck is 10 to 13 feet tall. We use the ground-level loading dock, or bring a shorter cube van when that is the only way in.

Yes. We run long-distance moves to Alberta, the Interior, and further, and Island moves to Victoria and Nanaimo where we book the BC Ferries sailing and secure the load for the crossing.

Yes, within the city bylaw. Downtown you can move roughly 6 AM to midnight on weekdays and from 10 AM on weekends. Outside downtown the window is tighter, 7 AM to 8 PM weekdays. A weekend move can't legally start before 10 AM anywhere.
